Strategic designer, co-founder and partner of Greyspace. Luke has 10 years of experience in strategic design and business modeling. His portfolio includes clients from the banking, financial, educational and media industries.
Luke spent more than a decade working as an interaction/experience/digital designer. Focusing on the design of experiences over time, ie. 1 minute, hour, day, week, year etc.

After graduating from Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design he shifted focus to design & strategy, and work primarily as a design-futures consultant. Introducing new methods from design and futures thinking into different companies existing process to make them more people-centered (for themselves as well as their customers), able to imagine alternatives and think differently, and how to design new process, products and strategy in response to emerging trends. Recently Luke has been doing this work for banking, finance, education and media companies.

Design-thinking is creative, imaginative where we think outside the box, futures-thinking is disciplined, process driven and forces us to think rationally.

This talk will outline the approaches and experience running a design & futures studio. I will explain the strengths and weakness of each discipline and provide examples of how to combine techniques to create future insights from creative thinking.
