Whether you design industrial products, apps, or services, most design processes aim to help you make the right design for a given challenge. Business design is different in this regard: You’re using the tools and techniques in a design process to validate a business model. This has consequences for your design process as well as the business model you are creating and we will explore both sides during the workshop.
The workshop consists of three parts: 1) Explore cases from the startup world as well as from management/strategy consulting. 2) Have a 2−3 hour hands-on challenge around translating a business problem into a design experiment 3) Share best practices, feedback, and reflection in a group discussion.
During the workshop we will explore questions like: Why is business design emerging as a field now? What are typical questions that clients have? How are the design choices you make in a business design process different? What experience and skills do you need to become successful in business design?
